1890 Victorian London Sterling Silver Reticulated Pedestal Bowl – 292g
Refined. Architectural. A study in late Victorian elegance.
We are honored to present this exceptional late Victorian sterling silver pierced pedestal bowl by the distinguished London firm William, Michael & John Barnard & Sons, fully hallmarked at the London Assay Office for 1890.
Crafted in solid .925 sterling silver and weighing 292 grams, this elegant 7.25-inch bowl features masterfully executed openwork panels framed by a richly detailed floral border. The raised pedestal base is sculptural and balanced, lending both height and presence while maintaining refined proportions.
The reticulated body allows light to move beautifully through the piece, creating dimension and shadow — a hallmark of high-quality Victorian silverwork. The crispness of the piercing and the strength of the casting reflect the standards of one of London’s respected late 19th-century silversmithing houses.
