Orient & Flume Hawthorn Forest Green 12” Art Glass Vase

A beautiful and substantial Orient & Flume Hawthorn Forest art glass vase, handcrafted in 1984 and featuring one of the renowned California studio's most recognizable botanical designs.

The vase is rendered in a rich dark emerald green glass with an intricately worked tree extending across the body. Hundreds of delicate white millefiori blossoms, accented with subtle green and blue centers, create a dramatic canopy against the deep green ground, while finely detailed brown branches and trunk give the composition wonderful depth and movement.

Especially impressive at just over 12 inches high, this large-scale vase has a classic rounded form with a gently flared rim. The translucent emerald interior beautifully complements the darker exterior and becomes particularly striking when illuminated.

The underside retains its Orient & Flume maker's label and is etched “Orient & Flume,” “1984” and “A46.”

A wonderful example of American studio art glass and a striking decorative piece for the Orient & Flume collector.

Condition Report: Very good pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The underside shows normal light surface scratches consistent with age and display, mentioned only for accuracy.
