Jay Strongwater Hand-Signed Jeweled Magnifying Glass

An exceptional and beautifully preserved large Jay Strongwater jeweled magnifying glass, richly embellished with the brilliant hand-applied enamel and hand-set Swarovski crystals for which Strongwater's decorative accessories are celebrated.

The substantial round magnifying lens is framed by richly colored deep ruby-red enamel, accented with warm gold-tone metalwork. The elaborate handle is richly decorated on both sides with sweeping dimensional arabesques and an array of hand-set Swarovski crystals in jewel-like shades of green, blue, pink, orange and clear.

Even more special, this example was personally signed by Jay Strongwater and is accompanied by its original certificate documenting that the piece was signed by Jay Strongwater on September 30, 2006, at Malibu Colony in Malibu, California.

The hand signature appears along the side of the handle. Due to previous handling, a portion of the “Strongwater” signature has rubbed away; however, the remaining signature is visible, and the accompanying original certificate provides documentation of the signing. An applied JAY STRONGWATER maker's plaque is also incorporated on the side of the magnifying glass frame.

The magnifying glass comes complete with its original Jay Strongwater presentation box and original signature certificate, making this a particularly desirable example for the collector.

Approximately 9 1/2" long overall

Magnifying glass: Approximately 4 1/4" diameter

Condition Report: Excellent to very good pre-owned condition with no missing stones or damage observed. The magnifying lens shows some minor surface scratches near the center, but nothing significant.

The inset magnifying glass was recently professionally repaired directly by Jay Strongwater after becoming loose within the frame and is now secure.
