A spectacular and richly detailed retired Jay Strongwater Golden Mille Fiori Elephant ornament, beautifully handcrafted in blown glass and lavishly decorated with hand-painted floral motifs, glittering accents and hand-set Swarovski crystals.

Designed by Jay Strongwater in New York and handcrafted in Poland, this extraordinary ornament reflects the Old World glassmaking traditions that inspired Strongwater's collectible holiday designs. According to the accompanying original information card, each ornament begins with a detailed drawing that is translated into a sculpted model before the glass is blown into the resulting mold. Up to 20 layers of color are then finely hand-painted onto the ornament, accented with glitter and completed with hand-set Swarovski crystals.

The majestic elephant is finished in luminous shades of gold, cream, amber and warm brown and covered with an intricate millefiori-inspired floral pattern. Sparkling clear and orange Swarovski crystals are incorporated throughout the design, while elaborately decorated ears, a raised trunk and contrasting white tusks give the elephant wonderful dimension and character.

Even the smallest details are beautifully executed, from the jeweled floral embellishments and glittered feet to the sparkling crystals adorning the elephant's raised trunk and head.

The ornament retains its distinctive Jay Strongwater heart-shaped signature metal tag accented with a clear Swarovski crystal, along with its original metal ornament cap and hanging loop.
