Emilia Castillo - Taxco, Mexico - Hammered Silver Plate - Malachite - Signed

A striking sculptural vase by renowned Mexican designer Emilia Castillo, handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico and combining hammered silver plate with the natural beauty of malachite.

The substantial vessel features a richly textured hand-hammered silver-plated surface elevated on three sculptural lizard supports. Each lizard is accented with vivid green malachite, creating the distinctive combination of metal, stone and organic form for which Castillo's work is so admired.

The tripod construction gives the vase wonderful architectural presence from every angle, making it equally impressive as a functional vessel or standalone sculptural object.

The underside is signed and marked T0-80 / Emilia Castillo / 25 / Mexico / M.R. / Plated, along with the Handmade designation.

A beautiful statement piece for collectors of Emilia Castillo, Taxco metalwork, Mexican decorative arts and sculptural design.
