We are pleased to offer this spectacular and scarce Dresden Richard Wehsener hand painted Victorian portrait medallion plate crafted from high quality porcelain in Germany.

Description: A very fine cabinet plate featuring five hand painted miniature portraits medallions of historical figures from the 18^th Century. This elegant plate is elaborately decorated with raised gold floral and beaded motif and turquoise accents on a white ground and has the name of each portrait handwritten in red script around the perimeter of the backside.

Measurements: 10” diameter

Hallmarks / Authenticity: Marked on the bottom with a blue W inside a shield and Dresden Germany underneath, an overglaze decorating mark used by Richard Wehsener around 1895 and also has a Christie's auction sticker “SX688 213” indicating its provenance and value as a collectible item.

Condition Report: Very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, only very minor surface scratches/wear exist but nothing significant and absolutely does not affect the appearance of this gorgeous plate.
