Description: A breathtaking RK Dresden hand painted porcelain portrait plate of Clementine Churchill, the wife of Winston Churchill signed in the lower right of the painting “N.C. Kiesel.” The border is elaborately decorated with a radiant gilt design, showcasing an intricate floral, scroll and beaded motif highlighted over a rich burgundy red and jade green background.

Measurements: 9.5” diameter

Hallmarks / Authenticity: FRONT: signed in lower right “N.C. Kiesel.” BOTTOM: bears the blue crown RK Dresden Germany mark under glaze that was registered in 1888 by Richard Klemm and impressed with crown logo above the number “24” and verso is entitled “Clementine” in red.

Condition Report: Very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Only minor surface scratches and gold wear exist but nothing significant and does not affect the appearance of this beautiful plate.
