An elegant English sterling silver pierced basket by Josiah Williams & Co. under David Landsborough Fullerton, fully hallmarked in London for 1921. Substantial at 618 grams (19.87 troy oz.), the basket combines intricate openwork craftsmanship with the presence of solid English sterling silver.

The circular body features beautifully pierced scrolling foliate decoration, a shaped rim and stepped pedestal foot, completed by a graceful hinged swing handle. The D.F. maker's mark is associated with David Landsborough Fullerton of the respected Josiah Williams & Co. firm, adding an important maker history to this handsome early 20th-century English silver piece.

Hallmarks are clearly struck and consistent with the maker, assay office and period.

Condition Report: Very good antique condition with no repairs or structural damage observed. Shows light surface scratches and polishing swirls consistent with age and careful use. A few tiny dark pinpoint surface marks are present in the center of the basket and can be lightly felt with a fingernail. These are minor and do not affect the structure or overall presentation.
