A beautiful late 19th-century Victorian walnut parlor table featuring a removable white marble turtle top, likely American and dating to approximately 1875–1890 based on its form, materials and construction. The distinctive shaped marble has a deeply scalloped, serpentine perimeter with subtle natural gray veining, creating the dramatic silhouette commonly referred to as a “turtle top.”

The substantial walnut base is equally attractive, constructed with four boldly shaped and molded supports joined by a decorative lower framework and centered by an oval walnut display shelf. Graceful curves and scroll-like cutouts give the base the sculptural quality associated with Victorian parlor furniture of the late 19th century, while the four porcelain casters add both period character and functionality.

Remaining in very good, solid antique condition, this handsome table combines decorative presence with a particularly versatile size.
