We are pleased to present this refined antique French Louis XVI style gilt bronze centerpiece bowl with original cobalt blue crystal liner, produced in Paris during the late 19th century and bearing the mark of Charles-Louis Ezin.

The beautifully cast openwork bronze mount features a continuous neoclassical frieze depicting winged griffins flanking a classical urn, accompanied by caduceus staffs and allegorical figures representing the arts. These motifs, inspired by ancient mythology, were widely favored in Louis XVI design and symbolize protection, prosperity, and the celebration of culture.

The mount is framed by elegant waterleaf borders and raised on four sculpted shell-form feet, a classic feature of French neoclassical decorative arts.
