Description: an openwork gilt bronze body of classical frieze of winged griffons, artistic figures and decorative motifs within a stylized waterleaf top and lower border.

Measurements: 10 3/8” long x 6 7/8” wide x 3 1/4” high (overall with cobalt liner)

Age: Late 19^th Century

Hallmarks / Authenticity: Clearly marked on the bottom “S” and “F” with a star in the middle and three stars below along with “EZIN” and “Francia”. This mark has been confirmed by Mearto to be the work of Charles-Louis Ezin in Paris, France, late 19th Century.

Condition Report: Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. Bronze shows minor imperfections and patina, bowl shows surface scratches inside and the bottom with some rubbing wear from sitting in the bronze liner but does not take away the beauty of this piece.
