We are pleased to offer this impressive Oporto Portuguese cut glass and fine .833 sterling silver desk inkwell with ornate stand, dating back to the 1890’s. Crystal well features a brilliant cut glass bottom with inkwell blown inside and ornate silver hinged lid closure. Measures 2” square by 2 ¾” high and hallmarked on the collar. Square footed silver stand has a beautiful widespread ornate apron decorated with flowers, shell-work, scrolls and leaves and features a square gallery in the center with leaf scrolls supporting the shoulders of the glass inkwell. Stand measures 8 ½” square by 4” high and is hallmarked with the same two stamps as the inkwell on the outside of the center gallery.
